Yesterday, on September 19, 2007 slovakian top scoring fighter pilot of WWII Ján Režňák took off for his last flight with no return! Gondolences to his family! May his soul rest in peace. He was blessed to be here 88 years...

Was not he the last living top scorer of any nation fighting in WWII?
RIP

I had the chance to meet him as a youngster at my beginnings of interest in aviation history and it made an impression. Met him since then few times, kind man, bright. Always ready to smile and make a joke but also share his memory on THOSE times. Let there be always sun shining on his eternal flight! RIP!
