The words Entry or Entries is the claim number by the Luftwaffe Pilot
Where a ? following a claim number means Luftwaffe Pilot was not sure what Sqn Aircraft was from

Nice website !

Saw the 'notes' about loss #107.

"A/C damaged by enemy strafe of Gambut by 5/JG27 We had an early visit from Jerry insofar that five 109's shot up Gambut and wrecked five "Kittyhawks" whilst another shot down a "Hurricane" directly above us. The Jerry ,in turn, was shot to pieces by our ack-ack."

Not sure about it being correct...... Hptm. Erich Gerlitz claimed a Hurricane at 0755h west of Gambut (and a wellington at 0750h east of Gambut by the way). But I cant find any other Hurricane claims around Gambut that day and Hptm. Erich Gerlitz wasnt lost that day. He died in 1944 so.... just thought there must be some 'mixup' about a 109 being shot to pieces.

Kind regards Nick
