Hi

Can anyone provide information on the loss of Uffz. Emil Meier who was killed ovr England on the 26th March 1941?

He is buried in Cannock Chase.

1941-03-26, 6./KG 76, Ju 88 A-5, 884259, F1+FP, Red Rise Farm, Andover, 19 km nordwestlich Winchester, Absturz infolge Flakbeschuß. Bruch 100 %.

The Ju88 was hit by hit by ground fire when attacking Andover airfield at low level, and crashed at Red Rise Farm. The crew were originally buried as Unknown German Airmen at Andover Cemetery.
Otto Peper and Emil Meier are buried at Cannock Chase, Block 5, Graves 300 and 301.
Hans Hoppe and Heinrich Reuter are buried in a joint grave at Cannock, Block 9, Grave 32.
