Re: KG 40 Combat History

I have documents and log books to a few men who flew with KG 40 and, having had a first look through my copy, it is immediately clear that there is a huge amount of information in there to assist with my research. Chris Goss has done a tremendous job on this book and Chandos have provided production quality to match.

Agreed! Quality of the physical book matches what Chris has done perfectly - it is a very high quality product indeed and a standout unit history. The main body of the book is what you would expect from Chris but I have to say I found the appendices worth their weight in gold alone. Chris has detailed every single combat loss, major damage or accident in the war in intricate detail -over 1000 aircraft alone. Certainly makes you realise how dangerous those overwater missions were with no hope of rescue -the vast majority of combat losses show all the crew as mia/kia.
Anyway, well done Chris and Rich - worth every little penny and then some.

Very many thanks for the kind comments everyone!

One or two little errors here and there but I hope to create an errata page on my website in due course, and I'm sure Chris will do the same here.

10/10 from me. Fabulous book. Luftwaffe enthusiasts have had a brilliant first quarter of 2025 in new books!

Don’t forget Robert Forsyth who (sort of!) pushed me to do this and the hard work done by Mark Nelson and of course Rich. It might be my name on the cover but it will always be a team effort

absolutely Chris - and the hard work means the book has nearly sold out in less than a month....

I estimate 25 copies left in stock. I won't be reprinting unless I get a minimum number of backorders, so if you haven't pulled the trigger yet don't hesitate....

Did you send some copies to Berliner Zinnfiguren already?
I ordered my copy there together with the latest volume of the BoB combat archive but the guys in German still await delivery of their volumes of the KG40 history it seems as my order has not been sent out yet...

I just happen to be in the same boat, so I'm hoping to hear that BZF will be getting their copies soon too.

Good News Leon!

I just got a shipment confirmation and the tracking code for the DHL shipment from BZF.
seems like they are sending out the pre-ordered books now, even though their webpage shows the book as not available yet...
can't wait to receive it, and the new BoB Combat Archive volume as well...
