Re: Gottfried Dulias

Has anyone found info on the Lt Fred Browning, or on the second Spitfire, he claimed to have shot down?

I can't find any claims of Spitfires by JG53 in Tony Woods list. Lots of Spitfires claimed by JG26 though.

Hello all.

I am still busy with my report on about 15 claims Mr. Dulias makes in his book.

Hopefully I have finished it in a month or so so all of you can read my opion about the claims he makes in the book.

Regards,

Thijs

IMHO, "Yellow 6" looks like a model, the whole pic like a Photoshop affair...

Thanks for the pointer

Hi,
Seems strange, I mention Dulias' name in a totally unassociated post on LEMB yesterday and this pops up today.

I have to say that I agree with the photoshop etc comments as it does look like that to me too. I was comparing the vertical fuselage panel line on the 6 and the one just forward of it with those on other 109 photos and they don't appear to follow the fuselage contour, in a full side on view they would be straight top to bottom but not when viewed at an angle - or is it just me?

If it is a fake, and presuming that Mr Dulias isn't an accomplished photoshop user, it would show that there are others equally complicit in this possible 'fraud'.

Has anyone had any updates on the Dulias case?

Regards

David

Hello all.

Sadly I haven't been able to do much research on the Dulias case the past few months due to other things. I almost finished a first version which I will hand over to my teacher this week.
I will add this photo and the others that are for sale on ebay as well as a point I will look at in my thesis. ( there are two more pictures of this scene, with the pilot standing at the same place... and pose... in regard to the plane in two of the pictures, including the one posted above)
I will update you as soon as I have the result from my teacher about my thesis.

Regards,

Thijs

It's a pretty good model, but if you blow it up you'll see the 6" trenches that pass for panel lines! After that check the shadows out. I'm tempted to bid on it just to have that conversation piece in my collection.

As Flitzer says, it's a model for sure.
