Post#4603: It reminds me of a painted picture

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Is this WNr, perhaps 112125, suggested as that of a Me 262, the remains of which are in the snow?

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Dan,
I read 110725. Not the fairing ahead of the fin indicating that it is a B-1 twin seater. Best, David |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Dan,
As a follow up, WNr.110725 is listed as an Me 262 B-1a "GT+LW" "White S" with III./EJG 2 and found at Lechfeld. Best, David |

Photos like this are difficult to authenticate. The reflective nature of snow on the ground, the color of the sky and the frozen snow in the tree branches tells me the photo is likely authentic. |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Agree David. Although it looks like 112725, that number did not exist.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Dan, that '7' have a curve at the upper portion of the stroke; is it a 9?

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Good eye Steve, but 112925 did not exist.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
These are new to me. The fourth one appears similar to a construction place in Austria. St. Georges? The first three appear to be odd because it is being worked on completely in the open. Thank you Rudi!

Marc, I thought it was 113345 myself and it may be. The berm on the port side is in the correct place.

With the log road and missing nose wheel, it may be WW Stauffen.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Is that a hanging power cable in the photo or a support for camouflage netting?
