Re: eBay: German intrest
I would sure like to know where Snautzer's 102. Flughafenbetriebs-Kp. (Qu) in his Post #1212 (above) was stationed. There were 54 of these formed between 1943 and 1945, and I have only been able to locate the stations (bases) for about half of them in the surviving documents. The montage of photos suggest Western Europe, but I know it wasn't in France. The Mickey Mouse cartoon seems to point to JG 26? These FBK (Qu) companies each had 4 Züge (platoons) and each of these could have been located at a different airfield, generally within the same Luftgau or Feldluftgau. They were bound to the airfields organization and did not accompany a particular unit from airfield-to-airfield.

No, you just have to wait a little bit. Interesting emblem inside. FFS A/B 61 I guess. |

Re: eBay: German intrest
The seller's caption to this SM.95 is surely misleading.
If the digit 6 is anything to go by, this is most likely nc 41006 which did not make its first flight until 1946 and cannot be classified as captured. As far as I know nc 41006 was built and civil registered in Italy only, post war. Another IWM photo by the same seller, nc 41003 here https://www.ebay.com/itm/V746-WWII-I...75.c100623.m-1 is more correctly said to be captured, even if I believe its transport and evaluation was being done with the acceptance of the, by now new and Allied, Italian Government.
