Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hello again RudiS,
This aircraft has probably been destroyed by its owners, and displays the technical details of a Bf 109 G-6 or early G-14: lower oil filler hatch, straight port DB 605 A engine bearer, old-style heavy canopy, and small upper wing bumps. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Does anyone have an ID on the Me 262? Could it be white 22 of JV 44 found at Salzburg?

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Thank you once again, Rudi.
Yes, the wooden tripole in front and the pile of sandbags to the starboard side are seen in other pictures of "white 22". Jim |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Thanks Jim. Very much appreciated.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
#1252 and the whole album was sold for $282 to a dealer
The dealer now offers the same photo for the "bargain" price of $500 here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/728-WWII-10...IAAOSw1iFbZQ3q Interestingly, the caption is shown as well and states that it was photographed at Ansbach. So, possibly a EGK(J) machine? |
