Shot down by AA fire during attack on on enemy armour during sortie against troop movements and artillery positions around Sedan and crashed 1 km north of Montmédy 6.00 a.m. FF Hptmn Erich Blattner (Staffelkapitän) and BF Fw Karl Fernholz both killed. Aircraft 100% write-off.
