for no. 9, post 1431: this is Bf 109 G-14 W.Nr. 464 534 "Gelbe 25", III./KG(J) 55 Greif, Pilsen, Summer 1945. All the worthpoint.com finds are former eBay auctions, this one being held in late January 2018. Cheers Marc |

https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-photo-...jId:rk:59:pf:0 Dear RudiS, What a good find ! Another machine from a tactical recce unit, "Weisse 1", "N5+AH", NAGr. Bromberg, deployed by war's end at Bayreuth Bindlach. We have here either a Bf 109 G-6/R2 or a G-8, camouflage being inconclusive to decide which variant. Since you provided us with another shot of "Weisse 1" in post Nr. 1159, and thanks to Franck Benoiton and David Weiss over on Bf 109 from Anton to Toni Group, FB, location is now known to be Schongau, 65 km south-west of Munich; the church to be seen on the background is the Sankt Michael Basilica in Altenstadt-Schongau. Thanks ! Marc |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hi Blueberry,
Thank you for posting this fine photo (Post #1436). However, the merest corner of a IV.-Gruppe wave is visible in the photo, probably making this a 15./IV./JG 4 aircraft. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
What you see is the forward edge of the horizontal tailplane. Aircraft of IV./JG 4 had the wave painted over the black-white-black fuselage bands.
