Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hi,
Thanks Rudi for this link. A G-6/R2 of what I believe to be a 2./NAGr.15 machine, with Red code. Regards, Franck. |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Actually a WNF built G-8. Great find, thanks RudiS.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Thanks for the corrections/precisions, Franck ! Much appreciated. Further to that, the loss list compiled by George Morrison et al. has two close W.Nr.'s: 230500 and 230502. They are both listed as G-6's.
Cheers Marc |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
If it helps, W.Nr. 230500, "65" (Ofhr. Karl-Heinz Pieper) was lost by 3./NAG 1 on 11 February 1945 and is described in ULTRA CX/MSS/R461(C),16 as a G-6.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Thank you Nick.
This does confirm the loss report in GQM (767/2, 2; Lw.Kdo.West) Regards, Franck. |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Thank you for both links Rudi.
The He111 was found at Hötting, while the Fw190 at Insbruck-Reichenau; the Me262 behind being "Weisse 8". Regards, Franck. Correction: "Weisse 1", indeed. |
