Hi,

hmmmmm...probably Spitfire K9791 lost 17.8.1940 - ending part of serial number fit to Bertrand H. photo, but in my collection this plane have damaged propeller and not so fine like on these both photos.

photo of "wellington " from 2.7.1940:

....but geodetic structure is not visible, same turret is on the Whitley and 1 was lost on night 01-02 of July 1940 - serial number N1461 GE-M from 58. squadron. As I know, this machine crashed in the target area - Kiel dockyard.
My question is, if the Kothausen is a part of Kiel.

This is Spitfire K9791 lost 17.8.1940 LY-B it was part of a group of captured aircraft that were moved around various locations gradually falling apart until they were "recycled " I have a number of pics o this spitfire including some taken from the other side during the same exhition see pic.. I believe that this was the Vienna location others were Kracow Berlin Leipzig and others...

LY codes belonged to 1 PRU Squadron based at Benson.
