Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Thanks Ed,
Interesting images. The first is I think a Caudron Phalene of some form, a C.400,perhaps as it appears to be in standard military finish rather than an impressed civilian machine. The 2nd image a Potez 585. Regards, Clint |
Re: eBay: Allied intrest
You're welcome Clint. I suspect some civilian or aero-club aircraft may have been stored with military aircraft.
Best, Ed |

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Hello Ed,
A nice line up of Caudron C.600 Aiglon in the first photo with a C.690 (?) fourth in line. Interesting to see one machine with a Balkenkreuz and another with the beginnings of the same. Are any C.600 known to have been used by the Luftwaffe? Regards, Clint |

Most likely post-investigation photos setting fire to the wreck for propaganda purposes. I cannot see any other reason for setting fire to the wreck before recovery

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
I see B*O on the fuselage.

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
See post #714. The fuselage letters are not the same. The photos from ebay.de that include this aircraft also show damage to buildings caused during air raids. It is possible there is a mix up or a different aircraft of the same type was shot down in the same area.
