Hello,

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water (cue music) there is now a third photo album within a week this time of RFA 500 at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/FOTOALBUM-RI...AAAOSwlBZgBbs5

It is perhaps less spectacular than the previous two, but does have some interesting photos.

Hello,

The fourth German photo album of the week. I 've posted this one before. Still, it is a very nice album and may not have been seen by some previously and in the interest of having all German photo album threads in one place, here it is again:

Re: German Photo Album

Hello,

In a photoalbum otherwise largely dedicated to Infanterie Regt 52, there is a nice photo of Albatros C.VII C.1283/16 at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/124755-Fotoa...gAAOSwk8pgDrZO

There are other aircraft towards the end of the album including an interesting swastika marked Albatros fighter. Does anyone know who flew this D.III? even better does anyone know its serial number?

Regards,

Clint

Currently on ebay is a photo album stated to be from FA (A) 287b at:

Many of the photos are actually captured Entente aircraft.

Re: German Photo Album

Thanks Bertrand,

I've just been on Albin Denis looking at his Esc 107 page. He has photos of Sopwith 1B1 No.185 in German hands. Different photos to this one I think (alarming how your memories goes - it was only about 10 mins ago).

One ot two of the other machines have been photographed before, though I must say the photos in the album are nicer than the previous ones i've seen and the Nieuport B3578 of 29 Squadron was new to me, no doubt if I do an internet search that will turn up too.:o

Also I'm wondering if the album is definitely FA (A) 287, note the Fliegerabteilung 102 marking on the car.

Clint

Re: German Photo Album

Hi Bertrand,

Well most of the sentence is German comrade in discussion with Guynemer, I can't actually tell what the first word is. In any event, although identifying french airmen isn't my thing, safe to say Guynemer is not in the photo. Strange.Particularly as going further down the page, he correctly captions the English prisoners with the machine.

Edit. The first word must be ein. Doh!!!!

Clint
