Hello Mr. Hopp;

You belive W.Nr. and code is correct?

Whenever anyone calls me by my surname, I know I'm in for a shit-kicking. But, you do it very gently, Ed.

From the same reference as my original post I have for 18.08.44 the following two a/c losses: L1+MM, W.Nr. 330 850; and L1+IP, W.Nr. 330 925. But, on the 19th I show the loss of L1+FN, W.Nr. 330 833.

Hope that helps, Ed,
George

Good evening .... George,

No I do not know if someone shit-kicks gently or not in Canada. Certainly not my intention at all. You may have L1+FN as 330 833 lost on 19.08.44 - The other two agree with me - same as I have (but likely not the same source - my source is still stamped SECRET) - Yet I have Henschel made Ju 88 S-3 W.Nr. 330 933 NR+PG / L1+FN stated as loss on 18.08.44.

BTW: F1+ was usually KG 76 (typo perhaps?)

cheers

Yes, there is always the chance of a typo. But, at what point did the ID F1+ enter the conversation? You lost me there.

All the best,
George

One giant OOPS is owed you there, Ed! It was a slip of the finger, and as you can see, until you mentioned it here this evening, I hadn't noticed it myself. Anyway, I meant, L1+KM. Thanks for pointing it out, so no one need get confused as to what I meant to say.

All the best,
George
