Good night to all.
I do have been in contact with Mr. Reg Everson as well and can inform that yes, they were shot down by a P-61 Black Widow while on a bombing mission. They were very soon after the baile out captured and later interrogated by SS men. As previously posted down here ( late thread ), friends from this Forum helped me to identify the US aircrew that shot him down ( the P-61 crew claimed a Ju 88 ).
Mr Reg Everson was still alive in the UK.
This thread is very interesting and I am very interested to see the other claims being matched ( claims by 414th NFS squadron ).

I think I may have screwed up on my notes! Sadly, this was not the only RAF aircraft shot by mistake at night by the P-61. Two Hudsons were shot down by mistake as Do217s by P-61s from another NFS.
