The G-14 was like the continuation of the G-6 (a late G-6 and an early G-14 being almost indistinguishable, apart from the Werke Nummer),
As I recall, the 109 G-6/R2 was identical to the early G-14. And the first G-14s appeared in the midst of G-6 production serials.

Hi,

G-10s built by WNF had short-legged tail wheels.
They had too, the large wing bumps due to the larger main wheels.
WNr in the 610xxx to 613xxx range and 770xxx range for G-10/R2s (recce version).

Eduardo.

Hi,

G-10s built by Messerschmitt (WNr in the 130xxx range, only 135 built) and by Erla-Leipzig has long-legged tailwheels.

Thanks for the info M. Mermet, but we were originally speaking (albeit in a very simplified way) of the tail unit, i.e tail+rudder... the tailwheel was not part of the starting equation, rather another variable.

Also, speaking of the G-10s built by Erla-Leipzig, many of them - especially of the earlier batches - had the short-legged tailwheel (there is plenty of photographic evidence, especially of those delivered to the Italian ANR units)

You're right, Jicéhem. Sorry about that.

The only one G-10 with short tail (i.e. tail unit of G-14) was found in Neubiberg (see Prien and Rodeicke or Japo for yellow 11)
