Oblt Schon crashed and was killed attempting a crash landing at Brenley House, Broughton, near Canterbury. Tilbury is on the north side of the Thames some 20 miles east of London,

on 29.june appear a dead man of III.JG54 NAME PRETTY HARD TO READ seems a gefr. ....inbs maybe Wagneninbs

No cues ???

Hello Remi,

All I have is the ref. In the Blitz Then and Now Vol 2 which indicates Schon's aircraft may have been damaged in combat over Tilbury by Sgt. Norwell of 41 Sqd. or shot down by P/O Lewis of 249Sqd. Either way he was killed attempting a forced-landing near Canterbury.
AIR22/226 ''Location of Enemy Aircraft Bourght Down'' may have a brief report on his crash, I have a couple of reports but not for the 27th.Sept.
