Was Tempest in par with Ta-152 H-1 ?

Willi Reschke's "Jagdgeschwader 301/302, Wilde Sau" includes a personal account of a combat with a Tempest. It's a very good book, available in English and German.

Just one point: the Ta 152 was a very minor player in the war as so few entered service. In that sense, the Ta 152 was not all that important (but still very interesting of course).

Yes agree with Nick

only less than 100 machine produced could not have any effect on the war , evenmore at the very end of WWII .

What is interesting too , is the close match between Ta152 camouflage scheme and FW190Ds one and the use in production of the tests results achieved by Focke Wulf in summer 1944 concerning the simplification of the painting schemes .

You will soon know more ...

I'd say the 760 km/h top speed and 14,500 km altitude limit + four cannon armament made it a very leathal weapon.

OTOH all in all I have seen very few scorecharts with Tempest kills in the first place....were Typhoons marked instead of Tempests in known cases...any info ?
