In the meantime I am pretty sure that Rischibieter was my dentist. There is a Promotion (doctor's thesis) from 1968 about some artificial tooth research by a "Georg Rischbieter". Funny... I am not sure wether I didn't even dare to ask him about the topic then (I was 6-12) or wether he rejected to answer.

Hello Gordon,

Lt Helmut Tetzner later flew with 5. NAG5 and ended the war with 2.NAG6 flying the reconnaissance variant of the single seated Me262 .

Best wishes, Karl

Yes, the Ofw. Johannes Trestler killed with I./JG 6 is the one you are looking for. He is still listed as MIA on 31.01.1945.

Dr. Georg Rischbieter is identical to the Fw. Georg Rischbieter. He died 1996.

Regards,

John

Karl,

Thanks for the post! I appreciate the time you took to reply.

John,

Many thanks! I understand you have a work regarding JG 6 operations on the way. I, for one, am looking forward to its release. Any update as to when then this may be?

Kind regards
Gordon
