Thanks for that info. Given the number of structural parts and subassemblies making up each airframe, not to mention the many systems' components, imagine the total number of data/ID plates on each airplane! I should also mention that decals in the same form as plates, but with printed or inked entries, were also used on 190s (and other Fw aircraft). I'll post examples later.
