Re: News from Greece

Yes, most likely L1+BB (i.e. Stab.I/LG 1). The Stkz. (code) was quite different but 2. Staffeln was within I Gruppe so no real difference.

Thanks Byon, keep posting these.

Re: News from Greece

An accident happened at 01.06.43 in Marathon near Athens, a Ju 88 crashed.
Two members of the crew were Herbert Meyer and Friedel .........(?)

The discribtion from the Flugbuch is as follows:

Flugübung zum Bombenwerfen, Start Kalamaki 07.36 h, abgestürzt da beim Abfangen Heck abgebrochen.

It has to be a plane of 1. St./Erg.Gr.St.G. 3 but not for sure
does the Werk-Nr. tells us anything more? Names, unit, code?

Hi, Byron.

Been to busy to follow up the past few days, large release on a system at work tonight.

Here is the loss record as also mentioned by Remi:

http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=131652

Is it possible for you to send me scans of the photographs so that I can attach them to the loss record

Regards,
Andreas B
