Re: Soviet Aces Volume 2
Nokose:
A curious question: why would the authors produce a book in Russian on a subject so many want to know about, especially post-USSR, based on new, more accurate records. If done in English, their sales would at least triple. Is this designed to be read by former aces or their families, hence in Russian? |
Re: Soviet Aces Volume 2
John,
That would probably be a question for Owl 99 on this forum. I don't believe he's been on here for a while. It might be getting a translator and a contract with a publisher. Nikita Egorov said that many Russian authors are waiting for some one to translate their work. I've read some reviews on books translated and not all of them come out right. |
Re: Soviet Aces Volume 2
I got a chance to read some of this book last night. If you are thinking of buying the first volume, save your money. It seems that he combined all the entries from that book into this volume and probably the corrections that were mentioned in another thread. I just wish it had times to go with the dates of the claims and losses.
