Re: MTO RAF Losses
"The trouble is that databases only exist when people do the work necessary to compile them. Why don't you begin one for RAF MTO losses yourself? If there are reasons why you can't do that, those same reasons may explain why no one else has done the job for you so far.
Make a start, you may find it addictive and people will be willing to contribute." MMh, Nick, i have never considered the deal from this point of view, may be i'll be able to do this!! I would informations only about DAF or others british fighters and fighter-bomber units only for 1944 and 1945 units. Luc, did you have some infos to start? thanks to all friends!! Mick |
Re: MTO RAF Losses
Hi to all,
sorry folks i don't mean this board with my critic, but in other boards i used not a nickname, and it's truly happen after public that i came from germany. That's the fact. Regards Fireship |
Re: MTO RAF Losses
Fireship, I don't think that your nationality is the reason you have few answers. The fact is Internet is working like that.
My Internet queries are probably successfull in 20% of the cases, even if I use specialized forums (and I use about twenty of them) and I use a good part of them for sometimes, so I guess some people "know" me, that may increase my probabily to get an answer. I think it's also important to provide as much data as you receive. On the other hand, when I have an aswer, it is often because my question has allready interested someone (and been answered somewhere), or is interesting the community, and then the result is sometimes much more complete than what I was excepting. I think your RAF queries will be more successfull on the RAF Commands forum: http://www.rafcommands.com/cgi-bin/d...conf=DCConfID1 By the way, a book like the Bomber Command Losses series is in preparation for the MTO. |
Re: MTO RAF Losses
Sorry this is confined to one squadron that being RAF 112 Sqn, but there is also a fine loss section dealing with RAAF 3 Sqn to be found on the web, hopefully I will give the correct links.

Re: MTO RAF Losses
Hi Many,
Sorry for butting in but Ross McNeill mentioned it a couple of week ago. He said that the MTO losses book has been commissioned by Midland and due for release before the release of Vol II of his Coastal Commad losses. Best Regards Andy Fletcher |
Re: MTO RAF Losses
