Re: RAF mission Ramrod 127 on 7/9/43--Murkowski totals
Found the listing I was looking for on Murkowski totals:
http://jpgleize.club.fr/aces/ww2jetk.htm Shows 7 total for WW2;would that be inclusive of v-1's also? Thanks, Mark |
Re: RAF mission Ramrod 127 on 7/9/43
Murky is officially credited with 3-1-1 aircraft and 4 V1s. I would not regard internet as a credible source of information.

Re: RAF mission Ramrod 127 on 7/9/43
I think Franek is refering to the official listings in C. Shores Those Other Eagles, and Murkowski is credited as Franek says. V-1s did not count in official totals, even during the war.
As Franek states do not trust internet sources unless you know the person who posted the information. |

Nope, official list prepared by 'Bajan's commision'. ;)

JOHN+FRANEK,
Thanks to you both for your patience with my inquiries and clarifications to info I looked at.Was not aware of the issue of v-1 tallies vs a/c tallies. Mark |
RAF mission Ramrod 127 on 7/9/43-further queries
Curious if there is some sort of way to obtain a copy of any RAF records of this mission (if it exists.) Any suggestions?
Would like to read anything official about this mission but not exactly sure where to inquire--any help is appreciated. Also have some questions on JG26 involvement that I wish to confirm some details on: 1-what type a/c were JG26 using in their patrol that intercepted this raid? (Especially Stab/II.) 2-how many were in the patrol put up by JG26 that day? Thanks again, Mark |
