The P-47 I mentioned as a candidate is listed under the MIA heading. If pilot Taylor himself landed in enemy territory, then I assume this P-47 to have been his.
The other pilot Halterman belly landed in Soissons, France, south of the frontline, and his P-47 would rather be categorized Salvaged due to battle damages..
Problem here is that in most instances the salvage team (Air Depot, Service Group) is recorded with the serial, rather than the FG, so making it pretty difficult to make a match.
