FYI - I was looking on the Heinz Nickel VDM site for some other items and saw that Volume 2 was still available.

Hi,

That helps a little.

Does anyone know which units these men were attached to and why they were not covered in sadi book?

Hi.

I guess that the short answer with regards to why they are not covered in the book by Balss is that he had limited access to NVM records.

Re: German night fighter pilot casualty's ??

hm - let me say, the problem is that there are 2 volumes of Balss :
Deutsche Nachtjagd Personalverluste in Ausbildung und Einsatz -fliegendes Personal-
and
Deutsche Nachtjagd Materialverluste in Ausbildung und Einsatz - included corrections and missing data to volume 1

most of the missing names find in the first volume.
I think that most people don´t know about vol. 1, b´cause published by the author himself.

But one gap is there too - a lot of losses of II./NJG 2 are missing that time the book was published.
