Johnny,
Do you by chance know what the code number was on your dad's machine? That might aid in searching for the photos you are looking for. |
Re: FW190 A-5 WerkNr. #2688
Hi Jim,
I think code number means "Stammkennzeichen", the number what was given to the aircraft when it was produced and it is written in something like a aircraft-history. But in the Geschwader-Staffel they got a different number (Verbands-Nummer) to identify each other. I only have the Werknummer - complete it is 152688, thatīs the problem. Regards, Johnny |

No Remi, he donīt flew again after this forced landing. The war was finished for him at 8.9.43 and he stayed long times in hospital. Before this war he was glider pilot and this he started again in 1952. There was just one last motorflight in the sixties during a airshow, with a Zlin326 togehther with the aerobatic pilot. A funny thing - my father showed him a nose dive from high, down to a low level flight like attacking a airfield. It still worked after all this years ;) But poor aerobatic pilot - he was really worried about his Zlin, hehehe:D Regards, Johnny |
