I also think that Nazi's got more than there share of decorations, if Knoke had only fifteen confirmations, even his thirteen viermots wouldn't generally warrant the Ritterkreuz, and his Deutsches Kreuz in Gold is not recorded in the book on the subject......but neither is Hermann Graf's, and both are known to have worn them!

About the claims .. some squadrons had bad reputation and some pilots also, now it is possible to verify that cuestion, JG5 overclaims i think 3:1 or + but others are more reliable like JG77 or JG26 not all are liars....

we only speak here about pilots that in and after 2ww were in the right-wing political extremists, luckily there are fewer than I thought with hollywood movies over the years, so I recommend movies like Stalingrad.......

here in Spain many republicans could not return to Spain until Franco died,
more than 30 years later, i do not understand how people here can defend Franco after all that is known....but i said in Galicia where i live my great uncle would play fight on the side of that dictator, because either they do or they are killed like Republicans, anarchists and communists....
