Unfortunately I am not aware of where his RK ended up, presumably he was wearing one when he went down but likely he had others as well.

Since I obtained these items in three seperate lots it is very possible it is out there along with the balance of his award documents.

Yes, its an interesting item! Funnily enough, it took me an age to work out what it was after I found it. Its one of those things that is obvious when you know, or when the penny finally drops....but a puzzle when you look at it from various angles - including sideways on and upside down.

As to his RK, I suspect that is somewhere on Shinewater Marsh. I do know that a wound badge was picked up at the crash scene in November 1943.

Very true. It took me a minute or so to see what part of the B that is (thought it was 2 separate letters at first). It's certainly an excellent find.
