Nils,
I have seen the project mentioned on http://www.ahs.no/. I have to admit though, that I have no information to share at this point. If I cone across further information, I'll let you know.

My interest is due to the fact that a Danish pilot that I am reseaching arrived in Scotland this way to join RAF in the fall of 1942. At this point, I suppose, the a/c must have been a Lodestar.

BOAC also operated Hudsons on the route untill the summer of 1942. It could perhaps been one of these as well ?

Hi

What about a ABA DC-3, is that impossible.

I think ABA strictly flew Swedish passengers. But it is of course a possibility.

But when did ABA start regular traffic to Scotland? Around 1942? I have this information in my books at home.

That flight in February 1942 was a test flight only, without passengers. ABA had some unresoved issues with the British, so there was still some time before "scheduled" traffic started. Some months, I think, but I have the dates in my references at home.

Hi,
This is what I based my entry on:

1942, 16 februari: Svenska kurirflygningar Bromma -Skottland påbörjas med en orangemålad Douglas DC-3 "Gripen", SE-BAG, med Marshall Lindholm och Sven Gibson som förare. Först gick flygningarna direkt men senare tidvis över mellersta Norge.

Please see:

which is also a link on my page.

I will check up the book "Kurirflyg" when I get home tonight.

But since SE-BAG was shot down, 20 June 42, they must have started before that date.
