wow...
That's considered 20% damage?! By the looks of things, I'd say it's a write-off as her back is probably broken and alot of damage to the wing.
Though, I guess they could salvage alot too...
Interesting stuff.

Always

PS> You guys are REALLY good with finding this stuff!

Interesting picture, though this does not look like a G-6. I'm 100% positive that 15472 was a G-6, and I don't see the Staffel and Rotte emblems that the 8./JG 1 black 8 must have carried.

Clin,
can you educate me on how to identify an EMIL?
Are there specific recognition points visible on Leo's picture?
thanks

Guys,

I have a photo of a damaged black 8 and I assume that this back 8 is the 15472 as mentioned in your conversation.

This assumption is based on the fact that there is only one single back 8 crashed in Zeeland.

I need a confirmation that the attached photo is the black 8 of Cadzand Haven and if yes who was the pilot.

Leo

Hi Guys,

That Emil is quite interesting, if not rare. Effectively if you download (It's a large sized one)the picture you will see that just in front the Black 8 we can see clearly an "A" starting the Stkz I presume...
How many Stkz starting with an "A" have you in your lists?
Peter van Gogh has only one, an undentified type one.

Cheers, Franck.

cowling, little triangular window, antenna mast, insulator, etc. makes an Emil, isn't it?

Best regards
