Re: captured german planes in color
Prien and Rodeike (in their Bf 109 F,G,K study) give the introduction date of these wings/main wheels as "end of 1944".
BTW: "Yellow 11" could off course also be a G-8 variant! Werknummer range 200... would fit the observations made by Janowicz, too. Did not think of this in my first post.. Regards, Christian |
Re: captured german planes in color
Hello everyone,
I have quite a few additional shots of this 109. I have it listed as: Bf109G-6/R2, WNr. 230785, 11+ Y, from an unknown NAG. Steve Sheflin |
Re: captured german planes in color
230785, an old bird of the 3.NAGr.1, on 4.March 45 "flugklar" nd used by 3.NAGr.13, but on 28.March with 3.NAGr.1 had an "Rollschaden" in Fritzlar

Re: captured german planes in color
Hi Guys,
nothing to say except: Thanks Steve, Remi & Christian!... And thank to me, too, since, some times, we have to use "Forceps" to get the right answer !!!! :D. If I dare, that "Rollschaden" in March 1945 woud explain that wing change... some kind of a confirmation of that plane identity. Cheers, Franck. |
Re: captured german planes in color
...... Hum ...
last, One colour profile of that plane has been made by Anders Hjortsberg times ago (in his old profile page).... Tschuss. |
