mmmmmmmmm...I am not so sure about the flap. Though the shape is similar, the Me109 cooler flap never had a steel rod in that position...

Hi Mike,
the bolt is placed inside the flap an is attached to the adjustment mechanism. Some time ago i had such a flap with the plating removed and as far as I remember, there was such a rod inside. Unfortunately I took no pictures. Also the aluminum support block sidewards is typically 109 in my opinion. Matthias |
