Thanks Marcel. I have just had a look on Google earth. I would certainly agree that there do not appear to be low-lying hills in the region of Schleißheim airfield. However at several points surrounding Bermaringen there are river valleys which are bordered by low-lying hills. Links from Google map show a number of photos around Bermaringen which show these hills. I have attached one photo of Bermaringen with the hills on the horizon. Another photo of a flying model aircraft display suggests that the former airfield, and perhaps the location of the crashed Bf110 was in the area of the wind-turbines, and therefore in front of the hills. For comparison I have attached the eBay photo.

Hi, all

I had a look at this, and wonder if this could have been taken in Norway.

The clothing of the kids standing around the aircraft would be typical for Norwegian kids from the time period, and if you look at the stomped ground surrounding the aircraft it seems to have been lying there for some time?

Will check other sources.

Recovered and then sent to Germany to the schools?

Regards,
Andreas B
