Re: Set of photos - Cham airfield and others (?) 1945

Very, very interesting find! But the photos - at least the series starting with the captured Liberator - are definitely not from Cham-Michelsdorf, but from a mountaneous area in the Alps.
I´ve found the photo with the Bü 181 beneath the camo net in a publication captioned as being from Cham.
Now doubts concerning this statement arise - though the landscape would fit.
Maybe the Stkz may be from help.
The Ju 52 with camo but civil registration D-ALSD(?) can give a hint, too.

Regards

Roland

Hi Nick,
thanks for the info! In the future it might help to identify some wrecks at Cham.

Christian

Yeah, Thank you Christian.

Left one point:
where we can find true pictures of Cham with it's more than fifty aircrafts??
Since the time we are talking about it in these columns I think I've seen no one.

Regards, Franck.

No problems, have a look here: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...=18850&page=11 or here : http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...highlight=cham

At least one of the photos linked in my first post was also taken at the same location. More from Cham I know not I'm afraid...

Regards,
Christian
