As a TOCH moderator, could I suggest another look at those posts, which, perhaps naively, I read as supportive of the work you do with LEMB?

I didn't think for a moment that they were, Peter. I just thought that in your evident frustration you might have misunderstood how much support you were getting here.

Not at all Nick... the email/PM jungle drums have been beating away with more than enough positive messages of support my friend... and every single one is appreciated, believe me :)

Anyway, the LEMB is now back up and running, so no rest for the wicked ;)

My best wishes to you. It is your board and your rules. I can no longer see the almost daily eBay listings and I'm fine with that (not that you needed my permission :) ).

Aside from that, I am a moderator for a large message board. And I can't tell you how much I want to ban, delete and give it to the posters who are clueless critics, the angry, the stupid and those who flaunt the rules. Those who bad-mouth us are my biggest problem. Say one word in your defense, and somehow, they take immediate offense, promise to smear what I wrote all over the internet, etc. So damned if you do and damned if you don't. Like they can walk into my house or say it to my face, but no, I know for a fact that they would never, ever do that.

That said, I recall the the first time we asked others to help out. We should have run criminal background checks. It was like letting the fox into the henhouse. Things got worse because they let their buddies run free and do what they pleased.

Now, we have one helper who we screened personally who is doing a mostly good job. He did succumb to a few mind-numbingly stupid series of posts and overreacted, but we got him on track after the first few difficulties. I can't imagine what it's like to run a one-man show.

Err, wait, what?? You are still aware that I asked you to end my membership after you blamed me for not giving you the credit for material from my own hard drive? I will not add any more on this issue, just wanted to set this straight. And spare yourself the PM, Peter. It's really a waste of time with you...

Since LEMB is back from its "little holiday" this thread has served its purpose, I think.
