Thanks, Bruce and Col. There was a Gerald Gray (1331260) in 111 Sqn. at that time per Those Other Eagles. Is he the same as "Jed"? The claim for the shared Do 217 damaged on 13/9 is not listed under Reg Gray in the same book. But then, as previously pointed out, Aces High shows McIntosh with a half share in a Do 217 destroyed rather than the shared damaged on that date.

Col., I'd like to ask what the initials "KCSVA" stand for after Woolgar's name?

Apologies, KCSVA should read, KCVSA - King's Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air. Awarded for gallantry or meritorious service whilst actually in the air by civilians and members of the armed forces during war or times of peace, which did not merit the award of the Air Force Cross or Air Force Medal.

Strictly speaking, there are no postnominal entitlements for this award.
