Can this date format convention be added to the Rules, Guidelines and Tips thread in each Forum? I also note that the RGT thread is not present in every Forum; I think it should be in all of the Discussion Fora/Forums.

The main point is to avoid ambiguity. Dec 1, 1943 is just as good as 1 Dec 1943, or even 1 Dec 43. I would probably avoid 1 XII 43 just for ease of reading. If the PostWW2 Discussion ever gets into 21st century wars, it would be best to use yyyy. Similarly if the PreWW2 Discussion ever discusses 19th century balloon warfare. Use whatever date format you want when discussing Icarus.
