... the "amateurs" have found the WNr . So the pilot is now identified , but wasn't missing .
Maybe his name will be released here , maybe not .

In luftarchiv.de was said it's Fw. German Elflein, 2./JG 2, crashed 27.08.1943 with Fw 190A-6, W.Nr.550175. His grave is in St.Desir de Lisieux.

It is strange all the same. The press article spoke about the spring, 1943.
For the Werknummer, i have 530175, not 550175...what is correct?

the W.Nr. should be 530 175. A Fw 190 A-6 built at Fieseler Kassel.

Definitively WNr 550175 from the plate found in the tail .
Fw German Elflein was possibly shot down by return fire from 322nd BG Marauders .
