Strange-the article says he was shot down by FO Bill J McGinty of 358 FS on 19 Jul 44 & I can see no claims for him (or USAAF) that day. However, Fg Off G A Edwards of 131 Sqn claimed a Bf 109 together with Plt Off I Wilson of 616 Sqn at Alencon at around the right time but the claim was nowhere near Lessay

Thanks Nick, that’s what I believed I understood following your note on page 2: – “Note: From the known examples above, the number against each aircraft corresponds to its tactical marking.” - Hence WNr.750 091 was “Gelbe 3”… But I wasn’t sure.
