Yes. I know that. My post was a reply only to this words: . I don't think that Müncheberg was ever shot down in the West or in North Africa and due to his skill in fighter v. fighter combat, it makes it unlikely that he was shot down by a Russian either.
Thus, Muncheberg was shot down in combat at least once in North Africa. So, it is far from being excluded that he could be also shot down during tour of duty on the East.
