Hello,
Horst is correct! The only Mosquito crashed near Trier (Bonerath is a small town near this city) was near Berglicht in Februar 1945. Pilot KIA, Navigator PoW.

Blake, look for any part numbers, or stamps in that part. You should be able to find something. Danny

Thanks Danny.

I took a closer look at it. I did not find any numbers but there is a small purple piece on the inside of the broken end of the bracket where a screw goes in. I attached another picture showing this. I am not sure if it is a wire or what. I also wonder what is covering the bolts. Looks like dried glue. Any thoughts on the purple piece or coating on the bolts ?
