I pulled this pic off the internet years ago. Not sure if it is the same aircraft or not, but both aircraft are letter "K" and there is a fire extinguisher to the right of the aircraft.

1 Attachment(s)
The code was +KU with the U letter overpainted.

Attachment 11413

The factory code was SO+FN for the Ju-87 G-2 t6+KU
And The factory code was KT+RJ for the Ju-87 G-2 t6+FU

t6 SG2 code was invisible for the both aircrafts.
I didn't see the U letter for FU. Maybe it was very overpainted.

Best regards,

Lumabe.

At least one Ju 87 G-2 of 10.(Pz.)/SG 2 landed in Eschwege on 08.05.1945.

Crew was FF Lt. Anton Korol, BS Karl Forssbohm and an unknown passenger.

There is a recommendable article (16 pages) about the last month of "Gefechtsverband Rudel" in the German Jet & Pop magazine 3/2014 an 4/2014.

Hope this helps.

Danke, Heuser, I did not know the name of Korol's Bordschütz that day.

There are a number of photos of this machine around, some taken on a beautiful, sunny day. A photo of the Korol crew surrendering shows an absence of Einheitskennung ahead of the cross. The lack of flying clothes on the third man makes me wonder if he was their mechanic.

Thanks to you all for the additional info! GRM, would it be possible to post this photo you mentioned (or the particular detail of it), showing the absence of the unit code?

Cheers,
Christian

I do not know / cannot embed photos as I do not have a photo-hosting service, but if you send me a PM with your email, I'll send it along.
