Re: SM.82 units 1944
Thanks, Gianandrea
I'm surprised that we still haven't been able to identify the victim and casualties at this late stage in the war! Are there not lists of casualties available? Cheers Brian |
Re: SM.82 units 1944
Thought I might re-hijack my hijacked thread...
Anyone have information relating to the shooting down of a tri-motor (identified as a SM. 79) by 3 Sqn RAAF on the afternoon of 11th March '44? It was observed to crash into the sea at N. 3010; shared by S/Ldr Murray Nash, F/Lt Ken Watts and Sgt DJ Donaldson. |
Re: SM.82 units 1944
Brian,
yes, at the ItAF historical office there is a personnel lost (on paper and in aphabetical order) but the indication of the unit is not always exact. I'll try to solve this little mistery when I'll go to that archive next september. ciao Gianandrea |
Re: SM.82 units 1944
Many thanks, Gianandrea
My relevant book project will not be ready before September so hopefully some information will come to light. Cheers Brian |
