Re: Soviet air raids on Berlin Dates

Very simple, for the status the Soviets were in '42 at ,they did OK , other may have not even lifted off the ground , was bad for concerned people and animals to be hit at random but this how it was.

Re: Soviet air raids on Berlin Dates

In addition the Soviet long range groups lost only a few bombers over Budapest
periods 4/5 & 9/10 more could not be located by the dates. An other dilema is
that the BG's in question were assigned on the same various targets such Lviv
(Lvov) , Koenigsberg and Estonia while the OBD files didn't supply any info as
into target folders

Mentioned groups were over Budapest. They lost several planes en route home, even over their own territory, which crews returned ok. That's why no trace in OBD. On eg. Sept 9/10 they lost at least 7 IL-4s. But this is not BERLIN, as per original question!

Re: Soviet air raids on Berlin Dates

The be precise the first Soviet raids agains Warsaw was done exactly on 23.06.41 by 8 DB-3F of 212 ODBAP, regiment commanded by col. A. Gołowanow. Attack was done during the day (at 17 or 18.00).

The next one was at nigt 23/24.06.41 but this time the crews of 212. ODBAP (8 or 9 DB-3F) did not hit the Warsaw but the towns near Warsaw like Legionowo (several km from the city). This attack was done during the night, so they missed the main target.

There were several more Soviet riads against Warsaw in 1942 and 1943 too,
regards,
mw
