No to webnotes. I read books usually in locations without convenient access to net. Second, in most books I know, the added space could be simply provided by reduced fontsize, different fontstyle (e.g. Adobe Jenson Pro allows more text per page than Palatino) and reduced margins. Third, if I had to choose between colour profiles and reference notes, I would dump colour profiles in a heartbeat.

I know an aviation publisher whose excuse for not having ref. notes is "because readers find them distraction". Frankly, such readers should stick to Ambrose.

Some of the sources are inside: "Flugzeugentwicklungsprogramm LCIIb" from 01.10.1937, "Baureihenbezeichnung Bf 109" from 01.11.1942, the book from Rajlich, logbooks Riedmeier, Kühnle and Beauvais. Other like monthly production reports of AGO or Erla you can find in BA-MA Freiburg ... this is 700 % more than Mermet/Ehrengardt :-).
