Ah okay...
Sounds like it is still not correct... :( This is what I have acquired...a cut-out wood section, taken from a bird at Straubing. Based on the construction, it is 100% NOT from an Me109, Fw190, Me262, or any other fighter that had a wood tail. Vet states it was from a training aircraft...but...there are not too many pics or records of anything BUT fighters. The Fw44 tail was of different construction...and the hole does not appear to be a bullet hole, but rather part of the manufacture process(?)...I have seen other tails with similar features... Thoughts? |

Fw44 was also fabric covered... :(
So it does not fit, as this is all wood construction. Mike |
