Re: Two Me262 photos on eBay
Wonderful photographs with original negatives, superb addition to anyone's collection.
Thank you for sharing Franck. Vince... PS: Just noticed the auctions are for the negatives, just as good, soon may be lots of photos for sale. |

My first really good view of Doris.

Re: Two Me262 photos on eBay
Thanks all, you're welcome ...
Note that "Dennis" is among auctions but you need to flip it horizontally (check the front wheel position :) Interesting to note her surname wasn't painted on nose, not yet. And it seems, comparing with other few images we got of her, that US star wasn't positioned at same level on both side; well, it seems to me at least ... Again with this full batch, WW's 333 i.e. "Pauline" and then "Deeloverly" is always missing. Last quoted from WW's site/Sturmvogel: "A I R S H O W The Command Review at Melun, France. At Melun, the pilots all selected new names for their aircraft to replace those applied by the 54th ADS. Administrative control numbers (000, 111, 222, etc.) were also assigned to each machine, and the group latched onto Anspach's half-joking idea that they call themselves "Watson's Whizzers." (sic) Hence the reason I wrote above all machines are pictured at Melun-Villaroche. Regards, Franck. |
