I agree with what you say but perhaps a better solution would be to ban the poster for 6 months to a year.

Just picked up on this thread, and I would like to reply to the above point.

In a word: NO. Information on this forum comes from research by individuals. Some of that research ends up in books & magazines.

Also, information in this forum comes from research, and the information has never been published, and often is not likely to be. It is given freely, and often appears here for the first time 'in print'.
